Questionnaire on the "Public Order Ordinance"

The Legislative Council will debate the captioned subject in its meeting on 20th December, 2000. Your representative in the Legislative Council, is keen to seek your views on the issue. Please help him to represent your collective views by completing the following questionnaire and returning it to the Office of Hon Eric Li Ka-cheung.

Part A - about Public Order Ordinance

1. Do you think that the Police should be given advance notice before a public meeting and public procession is held?

(1a) In view of the fact that Police would need time to arrange manpower to keep public peace and order on large scale demonstrations and popular days i.e. 4 June, 1 July with lots of expected applications, how many days of advance notice would you consider it appropriate
